Tour Description
MKZ 01 Historical Malacca (3 Hours)
Enjoy the rich historical charms of Malacca with her monuments dating back to the 14th Century. Visit the Portuguese-built St. Paul's church, the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum and the sea fortress of Porta De Santiago. Onto the handsome Stadthuys of the Dutch, the Cheng Hoon Teng temple (the oldest in the century) and view the junks on the Malacca river.
MKZ 02 Plantation Exploration (3 Hours)
The tour will show you the rural scenery of Malacca as well as providing an understanding of some of the main economic activities of the people. Find out how rubber trees are trapped, how its latex is collected and subsequently processed into rubber sheets and bales for export. Also comprehend how oil palm is cultivated and harvested. Lastly, an insight into the customs and culture of the Malays via a visit to a traditional "kampong" home.
MKZ 03 Light and Sound Spectaculars (4 Hours)
Depart hotel for a sumptuous Portuguese dinner before heading for Southeast Asia's first Light and Sound Project situated at Bandar Hilir's Padang Pahlawan in Malacca. Also known as "Son et Lumiere", it employs modern multicoloured lights of changing intensity synchronized with a sound track carrying music based on a dramatised story. By "shaping" sound and light into an environmental timeframe, ancient scenes are recreated and historical events relived to stimulate interest in Malacca's rich cultural heritage. By using techniques of modern theatre similar to other magnificent and entertaining light and sound spectaculars like the Egyptian Pyramid at Gaza, the Acropolis at Athens and India's Red Fort at Delhi, it is hoped that a better understanding of cultural historical unity and a sense of national consciousness will be fostered.
MKZ 04 Mini Malaysia - Air Keroh (3 Hours)
A visit to the great outdoors which takes you to Malacca's new recreational centre which includes The Recreational Lake, Mini Malaysia, Crocodile Farm, Golf Course. Exposition Centre, Malacca Zoo and Recreational Forest. You will be able to visit the various traditional Malay homes from all 13 states Malaysia.
