Self Drive Holidays

Self-Drive Rates (AVIS)
Validity: 01 April 2011 – 31 March 2012

NOTE : Block out periods will apply during the Formula 1 (March or April 2011), Japan GT (June 2011) and Motorbike Grand Prix (2011) season.

Dates are subject to changes and would be notified of the changes as well as updated Formula 1 dates for 2011 (7-11 April 2011).

(A) - Automatic     (M) - Manual
All vehicles are fitted with Air Conditioners and Radio Cassette Players.

Important : Cars CANNOT be driven into Singapore as they are not fitted with the ERP Machine, a requirement impose d by the Singapore Government.

Rates includes:-

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

Insurance
Rates include coverage for third party property damage, up to RM 3,000,000.00 and unlimited coverage for third party injuries and passengers’ liability.

Excess Clause-excluded
In the event the customer sustains damage to Avis vehicle or third party property, they are liable to pay the reduced Excess.

Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) & Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)–Included

SCDW and CDW reduces the renter’s excess and will only be effected subject to the availability of a police report in reference to the damages sustained to the vehicle.

Theft Protection (TP) – included
In the event of theft, the Hirer will be liable for the market value of the vehicle. This amount can be waived if the Hirer accepts TP. TP is available at RM 15.00 per day/ RM 105.00 per week for group C, RM 20.00 per day / RM 140.00 per week for Group D to F and RM 25.00 per day / RM 175.00 per week for Group G to M.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - excluded
"PAI" is an optional item available to the Hirer. The coverage protects the principle hirer and four (4) passengers in a vehicle for a total amount of RM100,000.00 against bodily injuries. This coverage is extended to the principle hirer 24 hours during the entire duration of the hire.

Super PAI – excluded
“Super PAI” provides coverage for hospitalization up to RM 200 per day during admission. Kindly enquire at the counter.

Additional Drivers
RM 10.00 per person, per rental will be charged. All additional drivers have to be registered at time of rental and must meet Avis qualification standards. 6% government tax is applicable. Fees are to be charged to agent’s customer

Baby Seat
RM 10.00 per day will be charged. Pre-booking is required. 6% government tax is applicable. Fees are to be charged to agent’s customer.

Driving License – Minimum & Maximum Age
The renter must be in possession of a valid driving license held for at least one (1) year. An international driving license is preferred.
Minimum age : 23 years.
Maximum age : 70 years

Standard Rental Qualification
AVIS & AVIS sub-licensees reserves the right to refuse any rental should the hirer not meet up with the standard terms and conditions of a rental.

Vehicle Make & Model
Vehicle makes and models are correct at the time of submitting the proposal. AVIS reserves the right to vary the make and model of the car without notice, but will make every effort to honour specific car model requests. Booking will only be confirmed by car group and not by make or model. All vehicles will be less than 36 months old.

Payment
All payment on the car rental charge to be prepaid via World Express Tours

It is mandatory for agents’ clients to provide us with a credit card at the point of collecting the vehicle. This is for miscellaneous charges such as petrol, delivery fee, collection fee and excess charges that agents’ clients have to settle directly with Avis.

One Way / Inter-City Rental
All Malaysian vehicles pick up at an AVIS city in Malaysia can be returned to another AVIS city without any repositioning fees for rentals 3 days and above. One way rental rates subject to availability please consult reservations.

Example :- No One way fee for Minimum 3 days rental : Pick up at Avis branch at KLIA, drop off at Avis branch at Penang Airport. If 1-2 days rental on other relevant rate code, one way fee of RM 250 would be imposed, 6% tax applicable.

Avis cities : Kuala Lumpur, KLIA, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuantan.

Extension of Rental / Excess Hours
Rental rates are based on a 24 hours basis and should a vehicle have excess hours, for each completed hour, a charge is levied based on the following formula :-

PER HOUR = STANDARD RATE DIVIDED BY 3

Over and above 3rd hour constitutes an additional day(s) charge as indicated on the extension of rental clauses.

Delivery & Collection
All vehicles should be picked up from & returned to Avis office. Deliveries will be made on request only and subject to charges. For delivery and collection charges, please refer to the chart enclosed. 6% government tax is applicable. Delivery & Collection fees would be billed directly to agent’s customer.

AVIS Satellite Navigation System (GPS)
Avis Satellite Navigation System is available for rental subject to available. Pre-booking is compulsory. Nett rate per day is RM20.00, 6% tax is applicable. Fees to billed directly to agent’s customer.
